Japp o' The Yard is part of the Poirot Yarn Collection!

Inspector James Japp of Scotland Yard is such a solid, reliable presence and one Viewof the best things about the show is the charming relationship between Poirot and Japp. They couldn’t be more different, but there is a lot of mutual respect and genuine affection there (and plenty of opportunities for levity).

Japp O’ the Yard is inspired by the warm browns of his suits and the deep chocolate of his hat, with flashes of burnt orange. It’s an excellent autumnal shade and every bit as cozy as a bit of mashed potato and mushy peas. Your skein may have flashes of green and gold due to how one of the dyes splits in speckle form!

The spinners have spoken and I (willingly and happily) gave in to gentle peer pressure, and it's a joy to introduce Republica Unicornia spinning fiber!

Fiber is a 4 oz/115 braid of hand-dyed US-grown and -processed Rambouillet combed top. It's really soft and floofy, and when you mention "Rambouillet" to spinners, they get a faraway dreamy look (I think they like it).

************************************************************************************Everything you see here is made with love and some swearing in fabulous Atlanta, Georgia. Yarn is ethically-sourced (museling-free) and dyed with professional, colorfast, lightfast acid dyes.

Some color bleeding is normal during the first couple of washes. I wash the bejebus out of everything, but some colors are just bleeders.

Your handmade items are magical delicate flowers and should be treated as such. Handwash in cool water with a delicate detergent (I recommend Sock Soap from Tuft Woolens) and lay flat to dry. Machine wash at your own risk (I'm not responsible for anything that happens to your project during machine washing. Those things are violent.)

Yarn and fiber are dyed in a pet-free studio.

I do my best to make sure items are true to color in the photos, but monitors/eyeballs/etc. differ. Blues and greens are especially hard to capture (I'M LOOKING AT YOU, ELECTRIC MRS. PEACOCK.)

If you have a problem with or a question about your purchase, please contact me directly. I'm a reasonable human being.

Thank you for supporting Republica Unicornia!
